A Darker Shade Of Black

Contributed by pixie on Friday, 12th November 2004 @ 12:38:00 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

I have turned a darker shade of black,
On me my thoughts have launched an attack,
I lay here silent & curled in a ball,
Trying to make my ugliness so very small.

Never again will I feel love or compassion,
Believe me I didn’t want this to happen,
But it has, it is out of my control,
I am just another discarded, empty soul.

My eyes are no just hollow little pits,
Down my middle is where my personality splits,
Half of me is a monster the other has no face,
I have been cast down into this dark place.

Down here no-one can hear my screams,
No-one can see their knives as they gleam,
Please someone help me as I start to bleed,
Please someone stop them as they carry out their deed.

I lay here shaking in a pool of my own blood,
They set me alight just like a piece of wood,
I can feel the life draining right from me,
I have suffered alone & not one person did see.
