My Death Row Inmate

Contributed by Corona on Friday, 12th November 2004 @ 09:35:02 AM in AEST
Topic: SadPoetry

I met you sort of late; I guess that’s our fate.
Day in day out you’re in a filthy cell, welcome to prison life hell.
You’re here today but gone tomorrow, the pain I feel the sorrow.
Why did I have to meet you this way, I just wish I could hold you at least one day.
If you only knew, how I’ve grown to love you.
The thought of you not being here, fills me with so much fear.
I just want to kiss your face and feel your embrace.
Through the glass I see you, but in death I’ll get to finally feel you.
Day is here and your death is near.
I want to die with you, go into the sky with you.
Please wait for me you're my soul mate
I love you my death row inmate.

Ohh dear some harsh comments, the poetry its self is very good actually..the subject, hummm even one I probably would not touch..and Im pretty horrible apparently...maybe ok to love a death row in mate..if he's an unfortunate innocent (rare) or totally ficticious (odd)

but those women that write to people like Ramirez aka the night stalker....buahhhhhhhhhhh they are hillarious..

I know what its like to not be able to touch someone you love. you can't help if you love someone who's done something wrong. Sometimes they didn't even do anything wrong..

anyways, good poem. not my favorite style but I can relate.
