I love to write poetry
It's a personal release
Whenever I am writting
I feel I'm most at peace
I can write about anything
-Whatever enters my mind
I have no other outlet
So this is how I unwind
It can be about something tragic
Or something dear to me
About heartache and turmoil
Or my secret fantasies
It can be inspirational
Or about my one true love
About family and friends
Or the great heavens above.
But with a pen in hand
And paper to write upon
I can scribble away for hours
Until my pain is all gone.
So as long as I'm still breathing
And have something I need to say
I will continue to write my poetry
Until my final day.
