The sun, the brightness.
The moon, the dark welcoming night.
The morning sun creeps upon the dying sunset.
A silvery moon shoots into the black night,
Leaving a trail of gleaming stars.
The Light & The Dark,
A blanket of blending in between them.
Come into the light of the bright day.
The darkness winds around me, pulling me in.
I see into the foreboding night,
Looking for nothing & longing for nothing.
The sun, it blinds me, erasing me from existence.
My skin I see turns pale & milky white.
My deepest sins, & troubles smother me,
In a pit of sorrow & sadness.
The tears of my soul drop into a pool of solitude.
The light, slashing at me, wanting to escape.
The light and the dark have captured me once again.

I like the image this brings, being trapped between light and dark and every opposite of the lives that each of us lives. Excellent poem. Tiffany J. (Red_October) |

This is a really good poem. Agreed that it does give you a really clear image in your mind...though kind of sad in my head at least. |
