Let The Rain Swallow Your Tears

Late at night, staring out the window.
The night falls in and it starts to rain.
Time to go and walk the city.
So no one can see your pain.

Time can be a cruel enemy.
Life has changed over the years.
Escape is no longer possible.
Let the rain swallow your tears.

No longer hold your pain.
I’ve made that mistake too.
Let the rain swallow your tears,
before is swallows you.

The hurting has not yet ended.
And you’ve got a long way to go.
I know it’s hard
to let your feelings show.

But just try to make a change
And don’t be a macho guy.
I guarantee you’ll feel better
And it’s not a shame to cry.

No longer hold your pain.
I’ve made that mistake too.
Let the rain swallow your tears,
before is swallows you.

this poem was nothing short of amazing. you have a lot of talent here. i love the way it flows so freely and releases so much emotion within each line.
