Spid's!

Contributed by Unaekseveer1 on Wednesday, 20th November 2002 @ 08:40:00 PM in AEST
Topic: MiscPoems

Eight legged hairy things everywhere
They drink from your mouth
And they get in your hair
They sneak through your window
And under your door
I know eating flies it what there here for
But they give me the creeps
They get me so scared
In their webs they keep dead things
All wrapped up and snared
Lurking about getting under your bed
When ever confronted
In my tracks I stop dead
My irrational fear
They play like a game
They've got me so frightened
I can't say their name
First thing in the morning
It's so not a laugh
They're straight down the plughole
When found in my bath.

I'm right there with you on this one! I'm totally terrified of them and they're the only subject of my nightmares.
What I really hate about it is that's is so daft to be scared of them (especially here in the UK).
I think I'll get some therapy :0).

Great poem!

No don't go for the therapy Ness,
They'll put you in a huge tank and surround you with bird eating ones and all sorts!
When it isn't really the big ones that are the problem, it's the little ones which move so fast you can't keep an eye on them!
Oh yeah, we do have poisonous species here too, I study them hard! They just don't tell us because they don't like to cause panic, like the huge debate over whether we should be told of that man who's just caught rabies from a bat!
Anyway thanks for the kind comment.

With love
Dean:-)

I try to be really brave too, I know they are more frightened of us, but ewww they make me shiver. I put a glass over them and slide paper underneath and transport them onto my nosy neighbours door step......hehehe.
Lovely write.

Dean, You have written about my biggest fear. I have tried to write about them and can't. Just thinking about them give me the creeps. Ewwww! Everytime I see one, I end up standing on the top of my desk, and calling for someone else to get it away from me. Great poem.

Thankyou for your kind comments, you lovely people,
I often can't sleep in the fear that when I do my arm may flop over the side of my bed and my hand will rest on the floor creating a ladder for them to get to me while I sleep, so they can drink from the corners of my mouth and eyes, which they actually do!

And apparently we all on average eat eight of them in our lives! AAARRRGGGHHH!!!
Imagine if you will a crunchy leggy sandwich!!
Just something to think about for you!
Sweet dreams. Hehehe

With love
Dean:-)

Dean, that's ok. Actually I was an odd little girl, I used to chase all the other little girls with worms and bugs and stuff like that. Now, I don't like bugs anymore.
