Weak droplets of rain residue
succumb apathetically
branches slouched
like shoulders
from the weight of wet
the complexion of autumn
dulled colours washed and faded
clouds fused
like an impenetrable blanket
of melancholy
smothering sullen hills
essence of sodden ground
deaden thoughts
of a mystical winter

girlFRIEND,
just the thought of a mystical winter has considerably brightened my oh so dreary day.
