I hate the fact that every song is about you

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Allow me to interject....this will be the first time

How soon you forgot your virgin heart
How quickly you let things slip out of your grasp
How did I make things so hard from the start?
How did I think you could know and not laugh?

That your innocence and understanding carried me on
As breathless as I could be I should have known
That in the shadows of skyscrapers and wayward lost souls
You've been tainted and tasteless, I won't ever come home.

Faded like the jeans you wear....take my heart with you there
Perform one of your world famous hollywood heartbreaks
Another Drama Summer turned into my biggest mistake
Of caring too much to let you go...and I should have known?

Keep preaching cliches like you haven't an original thought in your head
