Invisible Tears

My tears are invisible but they are there.
The reason they’re hiding is ‘cause you don’t care.
Through torture at school and break-ups from hell,
My tears were hiding, which caused you to yell.
Sadness and shame are things I hold inside,
These are two reasons from you my tears hide.
I wish you could see all the things I don’t say.
If my tears weren’t invisible you’d be okay.
All you see is the surface, the real problems hide.
When you blame me all my problems collide.
My nose isn’t running and my eyes aren’t red,
But you can’t see the tears in my head.
So one day look deeper, try to be me,
Maybe you’ll feel the tears you can’t see.

It's amazing what people can't see
sometimes or that we even feel we have
to hide how we feel from someone
