She does not read between the lines
She only sees the obvious
She walks around a cheery person
One who does not frown
She knows of no wrong within her world
She can only feel the joy
She smiles off into space
To her lovely friends within her mind
Her heart is warm
Her laugh is golden
She sees only the goodness in life
She speaks of lands far away
Lands that she says she’s been too
She tells of red roses
Filled with love
Roses that will never die
In a field of grass she lies alone
Looking at the mountains peak
As you walk to wake her up…
Her heart beats slowly
Skipping a beat …
Yet her face reveals a smile
Four-dozen red roses
Filled with love
Roses that will never die
Are placed upon her casket
So that she will never die…
