The world came upon the man with a rage never seen before. A hate that runs deep within and wants blood. The man ran with all his might, but he could not out run the inevitable. The world caught up to the man. The would judged the man. The world took his freedom. Chained to the wall and stricken again and again, the world took his sanity, minute by minute, sucking out the will to live and the reasons for why he even existed in the first place. Taking away his value think and his belief structure that held him together for so long. It told him lies that he could not help but to believe and to take in, it made him think no one loved him. Slowly the sword came up above the shoulders, and came down with a mighty blow to his chest. The blood came out and his eyes went dark. He thought his last thought of dread and the world had done its worst and taken all of him, in and through out him.

Such a sad poem. It's a little like a short story. If this expresses how you truely feel, I hope you find some happiness in life. Great poem. |
