It was June of ninteen ninety-nine
When the Lord decided it was his time
At the tender age of only three
Those baby blues never again we will see
He sadly drowned in a swimming pool
He never even made it to school
It doesn't seem very long ago we celebrated his birthday of one
Sadly he was my brothers only son
His little face I will truly miss
If only I could give him one last kiss
If only I could hold him in my arms one more time
Then tuck him in bed with a nursery rhyme
He liked his cars, trucks, and Barney too
Bret I prey for one more day with you
If only heaven had a special door
I would hold you in my arms once more
I miss you Bret and send lots of love
To this baby boy who is now an Angel in the heavens above

Oh my... This is the 2nd poem I've read in a row about child loss. So sad. Blessings. |
