The Same Tomorrow

Today I lost the will to live,
There's nothing else that I can give,
Life took it's toll, tore me apart,
And smashed again my broken heart.
Today I lost all that I had,
But nothing now makes me more sad,
From the inside out I know I'm dying
From the endless days I've seen her crying
Today I failed the task I'd started,
I feel so useless, broken hearted,
I love her so, though she loves me not,
She just finds solice in alco-pops.
Today I dragged her from the gutter
I bit my tongue, not a word I uttered
But I just can't do it all again,
See her getting wrecked, ending up the same.
Today is the day I caught her lying
But to help her was I really trying?
Maybe somewhere now she's slumped in a heap
Maybe that's the reason I still can't sleep.
Today I had to let her go
But it tore me apart just to leave her so
She seemed not to care as I walked away,
So I just carried on, I just couldn't stay.
Tomorrow I'll be tired and weary,
With a heart so heavy, trying to look cheery
But still I'll pick her up again
And still she'll blank me much the same.
