At the mirror

Contributed by LostDream on Wednesday, 20th November 2002 @ 11:00:00 AM in AEST
Topic: Nostalgic

I look at me at the mirror
and I see someone
born to dream,
suffer,remember.
I see again in that look
my eyes when I was a child,
deep,sweet,pleasantly strict.
Quiet my face,
pink my cheeks and my lips,
that little girl
scrutinizes me,
innocent and unconscious.
The shadows and the lights
among my dark curls
they get lost into the hair
of a distant child,
strong but forgotten,
into her determined gestures,
in her awkward but true words...
I look at myself at the mirror
and all I see
is the faded copy
of a tender little girl
who could only
dream.

Like you said, Dream..you are still very young. You have your whole life ahead... You can find that dream...you just have to believe it..and give it time...
((hugs))
