A COLD BLANK STARE

Contributed by LEMMEN on Tuesday, 9th November 2004 @ 01:31:51 AM in AEST
Topic: Grief

A cold blank stare has he.
No emotion, No thought.

As he is led away by the
law of the land.

His crime a crime of the
heart.

A death caused by fear.
A death that should not
have happened.

A cold blank stare has he.
No feeling, No soul.

As he has to face a life in
prison.
Not just of his flesh but
of his all, Mind and sprit.

In cased, In the death of his
love, His mate, That part
of him that made him
whole.

A cold blank stare has he.
Nothing said, Nothing heard.

As the verdict of death comes
down to him.
Still, No emotion, No feelings.
Just that blank stare into
space.
Death for him shall be a better
place.

A cold blank stare has he.

As they strap him into the chair.

A tear falls from his eye not
for himself, Not for his
death.
For her his wife a death he
caused, His sorrow, His grief.

He knows it shall be lifted
by death.
As GOD said it would be
his promise to set him free.

A cold blank stare has he.
