To A Great Man To A Hero

Contributed by Doriens_Picture on Monday, 8th November 2004 @ 09:05:30 PM in AEST
Topic: dedicatedpoems

I wish I were like you Keith

As strong and brave and brilliant

You are everything I want to be and more

You are where I want to be in life

And have done all the things I wish I could

I wish the world saw me like it sees you

A force that not even nature can match

A presence that is seen and felt miles away

From where you stand at any moment

Even your photos show that about you

I wish I were as self aware as you

Confident in your search for being

Not knowing how it will end

Or if it ever will

Yet always knowing you will be great

And proud of yourself

I wish I had your strength of body and mind right now

In this point in my life when I have so much to face off against

You are a hero where you stand

Not trying to be but are

You are a mentor a truly great man

Who I would follow till the ends of the land

And follow in your journey of awakening

Just to try and be like you
