Close your eyes
Breathe and feel
Echoed cries
Thundering reels
Hands dance
With djembe’s noise
Stroke your rants
Let loose your voice
Strings and flowers
Play hard your chant
Conjure powers
Make followers pant
Swing your swords
Ireland’s child
Pound your words
Pulses wild
Piper shout
Strain and soar
Take in; wail out
Release your roar.

You capture the feeling of music. I like the cadence of your poem. Good write. I hope to read more of your work. |
