Someone I've Found

I believe I've found
The someone
Whom I've been searching for
All my mortal life.
Beautiful
In all the ways that count,
Who should really care about physical anyway.
Not to say she's not.
No matter how someone looks physically,
True beauty is found within.
Proverbs 31 states simply
Charm is deceitful
And beauty is vain,
But a woman who loves the Lord
Is to be praised.
My someone is kind, sweet,
She has a great personality,
And she's a Christian.
But should I tell her?
Should I let her know
How I feel?
I don't know.
I'm afraid.
At times it seems she likes me,
But how to be sure?
What if she doesn't?
What if I'm wrong?
If it could be shown in military intelligence,
I couldn't trust it.
Should I just tell her?
No.
I'd scare her.
But if I don't,
She might slip away from me,
And I'll be left singing Billy Ray Cyrus's
"Could've Been Me."
She's a girl I'd love
To fall in love with.
She's got the good points I look for:
Great personality, a Christian,
And she's so kind
And so sweet.
Oh, I know,
I'll give her this.
