Letter to a friend

Contributed by all4jesus_teen on Monday, 8th November 2004 @ 03:35:18 AM in AEST
Topic: FriendshipPoetry

My friend,
I miss you.
This pain I feel,
deep inside my heart,
I long for it to be the way it once was,
but,
I know this,
may never be.
I care so much,
for you,
My friend.
I never meant to hurt you,
I never wanted to lose you.
Please,
forgive me,
because,
I know I have made mistakes.
Please,
let me back,
into your heart again.
My friend,
I care so much for you,
I would do anything,
to have things,
as they once were.
You say,
things change,
yet,
I remember a time,
when,
you promised,
our friendship,
would never fade,
nothing,
could get in the way.
It used to be important to you,
It used to be,
the way it is to me.
I don’t ever want to let you go,
I care for you,
My friend,
I know I’ve hurt you,
but,
this was just a terrible mistake.
You know,
I would never dream of hurting you,
you know,
how much I care for you,
you know,
how much you mean to me,
you know,
I hope.
I remember,
the times we once spent together,
the talks we had,
the laughter,
and also,
the tears,
the hard times,
used to,
just make our friendship stronger,
not like now,
when we were torn apart.
My friend,
please do not throw this away,
all we had,
all those memories,
the times we spent together,
just you and I,
everybody said,
we would never part,
we were the friendship that would always last,
nothing would ever come between us,
or so I thought.
I know,
we could make it what it used to be,
it may be hard,
but,
I know we could,
we could make it what it was,
even make it more,
That’s what tough times are meant to be for,
to make friendships grow.
My friend,
I care so much,
I don’t want to lose you,
I won’t give up,
I won’t ever,
let you go.

This is a remarkable write for a teen.
Every line my special friends jus flashed before my eyes.
A masterpeice that should be able to patch up every friendship that strays.
Keep writing.

I know exactly how you feel... I went through the same thing for almost a year... Now I have very few connections to that person, and I miss her so badly sometimes. We've both grown up a lot though, and we're different people now... I'm not so sure a second attempt at friendship would turn out as well as it did our first time, and that would just be disappointing.

This was an excellent write... Hope things get better between you and your friend.
