Heartbreak and the big city swallows me whole. Archaic in your delivery with a taste of new age soul. As you read off my grocery list of problems, I thumb through my pockets hoping something, anything that could keep me warm during this hollowness. Who wrote this book on love? I sure must have skipped a few chapters seeing my now in my weakened position. The stronghold you have over me. Far too late for second chances as I'm sure that ship has sailed. Wish mine would, although quite certain I would leave the boarding passes at home. Why does it seem as though love is this lottery game of hit or miss? While I watch all the happy people, I wonder whether or not they are pretending. Incapable of falacy, I press on hoping someday....Oh who am I kidding, always hoping and never doing thats me. I admired your bluntness and hated it all in the same breath. The cowardly lion vs. the tin man that is who we are. If I was stronger I would have built you a new life, If I was stronger I would have told you everything that I love about you. But, we are to far away. I hope you always remember the last thing you ever saw of me was my back.
