DreamsandWishes
|
With eyes of gold,
And arms that long to hold,
She yearns.
With feet as swift,
And lips that wish to kiss,
She dreams.
She hates her life,
But longs to be a wife,
She cries.
With passion as her strength,
And power as her length,
She rises.
With no memory of her past,
Her days no longer last,
She dies.
With heaven at her door,
Pain and hatred is no more,
She smiles.

"Masterpiece" that's what this is
This is so beautiful, it brought tears
to my eyes..Thanks for sharing it
I like the author's note you put up
at the top to where it says...In an
ocean of misery there is always
hope...and then you end it with
death and a smile, that's a very
creative talented way to write such
beautiful poetry, Bravo!

i really enjoyed this poem. the one stanza that i thought was sorta cliche was "she hates her life, / but longs to be a wife, / she cries." but eventually i forgot about that with the following stanzas being so powerful..
great job.
