Choking down penitent sobs
As the rain falls down
Creating ripples in a near perfect portrait.
Hyperventilating in paper bags
As the flood drowns
All of those, disadvantaged.
Stifling frantic screams
As the wind whips through
Another desolate, drafty house.
Clenching cold, white fists
As the wolf forever stalks
The pure, innocent rabbit.
Masking faces of distress
As hail releases its fury
Upon anything unsheltered.
Silencing a wildly beating heart
Through the calamity
Of an indefinite destruction.
Knowing and discerning all,
Appearing apathetic in existence.

Very gripping.
The images like
"ripples in a near perfect portait"
prove you have the Poets' eye
and mind.
Like to see that you are still
writing good stuff!
