Nature`s Symphony

I awake in the morning with a stretch and a yawn
Then I listen to the chorus that heralds the dawn.
The birds sing out as if to say,
Nature has given us another day.
A cockerel crows in the field beyond
And the ducks, they quack as they swim on the pond.
The cows in the field they moo and they call,
They want to go in to the milking stall.
The breeze as it blows, gently rustles the leaves,
And the rain goes pit pat as it drips from the eaves.
The doves in the trees they bill and coo,
As if telling the others it’s time that they flew.
A tractor chugs past as it goes down the road,
Pulling behind its heavy load.
The sheep all run to the gate and bleat,
They know it’s the time they get something to eat.
Then thunder in the distance, it rolls like a drum,
To this noise the songs of the birds succumb.
But all of these sounds blend in sweet harmony,
I’ve been listening to nature’s own symphony.
