When you are near
My mind is clear
Distractions are gone
Time is slowed

Sitting beside you
I see and hear nothing
But you
And my heart rushing

Your smile
Your touch
Your voice
Your laugh

Everything about you makes me grin
Deep down within
I know you are the one
I've been waiting for

A thousand pretty angels
A mountain of gold
Anything I desired at all
Could not distract me from your gaze

I only long to be near you
I long to see you smile
Hear you laugh
And feel your touch

Your presence holds me in a trance
Your absence leaves me longing
Reflecting on us
And what is
And what could be
And what will be

Sit beside me
And draw nearer
As we gaze into the sparkling skies of each other's eyes
As our hearts beat together
