I'M FORGIVEN

I'm forgiven,
Washed clean of all my sins and iniquity,
For they have been thrown into the forgetful sea,
Now, from His presence I can never be driven,
Because I'm saved, sanctified and forgiven!
He paid the debt that I owed, setting me free from damnation and hell,
Paying the price that had to be paid, the pain of each hand driven nail,
For He was nailed to the cross that was mines to bare,
Dragging it through the streets of the city (with none to share)!
I’m forgiven,
Purged of all my sins and transgression,
Washed clean in the holiness only found in His blood, bathed in His glory and love,
Now, from His presence I can never be driven,
Because I’m the sheep of His pasture, the apple of His eye and forgiven!
He took upon Himself my sorrows and grief, the
Chastisement of my peace was put on Him and by His stripes I am healed,
All we like sheep went astray, and we have turned unto our own way,
God has laid on Him the iniquities of us all, redeeming us from the curse of our fall!
I’m forgiven, now from His presence I’ll never be driven,
His love was freely given, now in His grace and mercy I am livin’!
I’m forgiven, now from His presence I’ll never be driven,
All my sin and grief He has borne, suffering all my disdain and scorn,
He hung their naked and bare, a love so great and grand, which has made me a humbled and happy man!
I’ve been forgiven!

Very powerfull write here. One can see it all in this upbeat, humbling write.
Reminds me of the prophets of old in the bible but with a great modern beat that will cleanse all that read it.

thank you for the piece. i have given poems on God but this one is superb
