Peace Be With You

Sleep like a peaceful child
No longer hampered by life’s grind
All perils lifted and fled away
No crease upon your marble brow
No infirmity to slow you down
Or lay low your graceful smile
Sweet Death has come to free you
Lift you up from human depths
When Time’s ungrateful hands
Had stolen your youthful blush
I envy you this day
Passing through eternal gates
In solemn stillness lay
Set free among the stars
In brilliant skies to soar
Wondrous union of being
One with universe

This is so calming...in the grasp of death we find peace at last. Absolutely beautiful.
Excellent, excellent write

I would be a "the" in the last line.. but otherwise it is perfect, and I have not even come close to being a daisy, or perfect.. and I have a perfect pic for it, too. Its an incredible write.. I sooo love reading you. |
