Sit with me awhile
Learn a little something
About where your empty feelings
Originate
There's something in your mind
You just cannot get it out
You've taken a nose-dive
Into the realm
Where frail stability is
Unable to withstand
The questions of existence
I'm not afloat
In your diabolical boat
That's what you'd tell him if you could
'Cause deep inside you know your heart is good
But this spectre is so shallow
He works only with surface puppets
He wants you to hate
He wants you to covet
Just got to tell him
I'm not your man
No, I'm not the man you think I am
I won't be tortured by your thoughts
Or even by your hands
So
So this is goodbye
We are departing,
Going our seperate ways
Well
Well I hoped you've learned something
That all is not well
No, all is not well
I've learned
That you don't burn
With the Upright Spirit
And I only want to know the
Word of God
And love all who belong to His Kingdom
I will not be brought to the chains of hatred
Oh so you've seen the Light
Well, I'll have time plenty for you
You may trust in your Lord now
But can you really trust yourself?
Doubt will be your downfall
You heed this call
I do not listen to those
Not wise enough to know
It is through the Sacrifice of Lord Jesus
That we have salvation
My doubts and fears
I will place behind
Me and allow the
Wondrous One to be
my guide
There was a man sittin' on a barbed wire fence,
He said he had the power over everybody's sins.
I said, "Man, you know you are cruel liar,
'Cause Jesus is the Son of God, He has the Holy Fire!"
But the man kept proclaimin' the Lord's Name in vain,
And said that all Christians should be put to shame.
I said, "Hold on one minute,
You must be a false tounge descendant!"
He didn't take this much to his likin',
He said he was gonna fry me with a bolt of lightnin'.
He shouted like a madman, tryin' to call up that storm,
But when none didn't show up, he knew he was done for.
I said, "Just goes to show you shouldn't count your storms before they're hatched,
And you should never travel on down a road without knowing His Path."

sorry but i'm not really a fan of "God poetry"
but damn i gotta admit that this packed a punch.
very powerful strong words lee. the length of the poem kinda hurts it, but as powerful as this poem is it fits rather nicely. you,ve got amazing talent lee, and your not wasting it.
loved this. enjoyed it very thoroughly.
