cursed with love

Contributed by shampoo_in_my_bed on Tuesday, 19th November 2002 @ 06:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Why am I cursed with love
The love of love
The want of love
The lust of being in love
My passion for a non-existing companion is monumental
Taking advice about how to find someone I am already in love with, is like taking a hot poker in the eye
The pain of the suggestion is overwhelming, knowing the person is taking for granted the love between them and there half committed other while I willingly kill school children and nun’s for a love I haven’t met yet.
After their suggestion cools off from the point of glowing white hot anger, my vision is distorted from the lasting scars of their advice
Maybe it would be better if I acted like a rich full of confidence stuck up jock
Instead of a young gifted artist with a galaxy of unproven ideas, a burning soul, a heart that could pump the fires of hell through its veins for just one kiss from my seemingly impossible love

Why is the conclusion never good
I have found the girl of my dreams many times
It’s the girl of my conscience life that eludes me so
I have seen god’s evolution of prototypes for my other half
I have seen the systems and sub systems being tested for years
Sisters of friends, best friends, girlfriends and my close female friends
God is sparing no expense
Few times have I seen all that I need
Increasingly I am finding women that is beginning to match my dream and conscience criteria
They are usually taken and with good reason
They are not in love though
Not the way I feel it
Willing to give up vital body parts on the first date kind of stuff
Few people see love through blood
See the flesh as a tool to give your love to someone else through
This is all quite normal
Not sick and demented
Love is not a hug at the airport, it’s throwing up because they left

I have to agree with the ending of your piece. Too many times love is superficial, not a deep and understanding commitment and the last line pretty much sums up the differences in a fairly graphic manner.
