Joy Inside Saddness

Contributed by Sweetheart on Friday, 5th November 2004 @ 04:09:11 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I loved him so much..It felt impossible to let go.
I had time on my hands and my feelings did show.
He burned my heart and taught me pain.
He made my life seem like I was to blame.

I tried to run from his darkness, I tried to escape his face.
I lived in a hole of self-pity and then suddenly there was grace.
God gave me some sunshine to clear the rain.
He brought a feeling of hope and a feeling of gain.
Theres no mystery to feel this, just look inside yourself.
You'll realize to think positive instead of the hurt itself.
Focus on the good and leave behind the bad.
Then you'll feel better and you will be glad.

Just as I thought this, a light came through.
My life of loss was now found because I saw you.
I looked at your smile, and it made me feel strong.
It gave me a hope that life will go on.
As you talk and I listened I slowly started to feel a connection ..could this be real?
Although you are taken, I have to just wait.
Will I suffer hurt with you just as he brought me pain?
I only know this..time will tell.
I have to go with life's flow and know that LOVE prevails.

Very nicely done. I love your optimism. It's so encouraging to see people moving on in their lives instead of spending their futures dwelling on the past. What a profound realization you've come to here.

You are simply a master of word placement that can pull your reader right into you through your well selected words and their placement. I spent roughly ten minutes on this poem and could almost feel you typing it out on your key board. That is a talent not many poet's can claim to have. Great Work. Your Number One Reading Fan.
