I have something to confess
Something to address
That has frequently been on my mind
Its been making me think
Making me drink
For the life I left behind
I moved away
To Ireland one day
Leaving all I loved back home
Now I miss my old friends
And their stupid trends
And I suddenly feel so alone
But a few days ago
When I was feeling low
And remembering what I had
A few people came up
And helped me cheer up
And realise things weren't so bad
As some days past
They went so fast
When I was with my new chums
We started to get close
And I got a happy dose
And I could feel my pain start to numb
I started to forget
What I used to regret;
The move from across the waves
These people, now friends
Helped me to mend
The heart I thought couldnt be saved
It took me a while
To remember the pile
Of memories I'd stowed away
To remember all the hurt
All of the dirt
That suffocated me everyday
Now I have all I want
My old life doesnt haunt
My happy dreams anymore
I have everything I need
Its a good life indeed
When I'm with these people I adore
