I Promise I'll Have No Regrets...

Contributed by SpreadYourWings on Friday, 5th November 2004 @ 12:02:31 AM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

If I could do anything, I’d go back to all of those times
Where we laughed every minute and talked until sunrise
If I could take back anything, it’d be all those words that I said
I guess I’m glad you’re alright and still moving ahead
I’ll erase every feeling I’ve ever felt
Abandon all those problems we dealt
And move on cause it’s the greatest challenge for me

If I could do anything, I’d listen to your voice every night
If only I hadn’t said regrets, I know everything would be alright
If it puts a smile on your face, I’ll spend my nights staying up late
Thinking of how much I miss you, just how long I’ll have to wait
It’s the sunset again
And I have so many words I wish I could send
But it all fades away
And I have nothing left to defend

Claim that I’m just a mess, who doesn’t know who they are
I’m grateful you still say hi to me, but I let myself go too far

You’re the beauty at sunset, that paints the night sky
The voice of the words that mutter out goodbye
Everything that I know, and everything that all came to be
Lets me never forget you, so I’ll never be free
You’re the sight of the stars in a dark lonesome night
So I’ll let you enjoy it as I move far from your site
I promise I’ll quit being so selfish and vain
So you’ll never have to cry or feel any pain
And I’ll do anything that you want me to do
Wipe away all your tears and give you words long overdue
