The Gray Bride - Cecile's Murder

Contributed by Crimson_Rose on Thursday, 4th November 2004 @ 08:49:11 PM in AEST
Topic: DarkPoetry

It was quiet, that somber day
Cecile sat dazedly in front of her computer,
She playfully fiddled with her purple glasses
Click after infinite click made her work tense

Creaks from rusty hinges secrete from wooden doors
She was alone, in her monstrous Victorian mansion
A violet cup of steaming tea scalded next to her
I don’t believe it; I didn’t see this tragedy coming

Had it only been, a blissful week after her marriage
If only we’d known of this grim fate that was ahead of her
Those people who had lethally plotted this,
Wanted her so painfully dead

As her frail fingers wrapped strongly around her cup
Slowly she raised it up to her rosy lips
The hot steam burned her tender lips
Wild Berry tea rapidly rushed to her mouth

Searing hot tea venomously traveled down her smooth throat
The drink itself was laced with a choking poison
It shockingly closed her throat, shortening life-giving air
I remember, I gagged with burgundy blood

What little breath she had, was innocently taken away
She was there on the waxed floor, sprawled,
In her lush, gray dress
Cecile was later laid to rest, in the grave of betrayal
