brittle madness
stains my skin
straight jacket wraps round me like a vine
histeric laughter
damned to this white padded hell
realitlys at fault
sick in the head
trapped by demons wake
florecent lights burn my eyes
locked doors, barred windows
all you can do is sit and dream
quietly die
fake happiness on the workers faces
so plastic as i scream
long corridor
small windowed doors
mental sickness
plauges me

Very well written poem, especially for never experiencing what you're speaking of. I've been "institutionalized" before, and you nailed many of the images and emotions. Great job! |
