Emotions

Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Pour some salt inside a cut
thats how you made me feel
my heart just started to shrivle up
it all became so real

Take a needle to your mouth
and try to sew it up
for weeks i wouldent talk
your words just shut me up

pull a blade accross your wrist
and cringe at the blood you see
thats exactly how i cringed
at the thought of you and me

Throw a knife at someones heart
that you used to call your own
thats exactly how my heart felt
when those words came out the phone

put a rose inside some water
and watch it slowly wilt
thats exactly what im doing now
but yet , i love you STILL.

Very powerful and love is the most important part of life. Once again, another master piece from a very talented poet loaded with strong emotion. I can only hope that a little of you rubs off onto me as you are such an inspiration. Your Dear Friend MickeyPigKnuckles :o)

A powerful read. Loved the metaphors - confronting yet perfectly conveying the pain wrought by heartless words and acts. If this doesn't draw forth his empathy, nothing will!

wow! the repetition works excellently! I thought that was amazing! It not very often that you see a poem with that kind of imagery and feeling in it as that one. And the last stanza is a fantastic concluding verse and contasts the whole poem fantastically. Well done!
