Past Arrival

selfstruggles

So how about now?
Now what thoughts of me will
cross your pretty mind
Now that I'm just a disinterested fool
Wandering aimlessly about without a thought
of you
Is it American enough to fit the
stereotype I know I'm not?
Was my deception and broken promises
enough to convince you to look away?
And to some perverse extent I'm glad
Glad that you will never believe that
joy could have existed in my arms
And that I'll never hear the answers
to these poorly written questions.
