Thoughts bounce in my head,
clog my throat,
and never really seem to come together.
Some disease dilutes them,
divides and drains
all desire.
I don't speak for my own good,
and pieces of my soul shrivel
like a healthy environmental legacy.
It's a new-age plague
of the meek, poor, and pompous
politely passing through this world of monsters.
Too faint to effect change,
too lost or too busy to really care.
We are spoon-fed our medicine,
packed with degredation, and
up to our eyes in acceptance.
We live on a sinking ship,
and work there,
to buy our fate a little faster.
Some disease dilutes us,
divides and drains
all desire.
Vote. Volunteer. Do something.

I was drawn in by the title - before I even noticed this was yours, GT. This is.... so you. Full of passion and keen observation - 'right' in a way that not many are. I felt a bit like I read this from inside out. Your voice shines through here.
