The Smallest Things

Contributed by humboldthunny17 on Wednesday, 3rd November 2004 @ 07:58:46 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

The smallest things can make you smile
Tiny things that are worthwhile
A shimmer of laughter, a sweet little treat,
A nice big smile from the people you meet

The smallest things can make you warm
Tiny things that prevent a big storm
A big, loving hug someone gave away
A kind thing someone always does, or say

The smallest things can make you sing
Sing of the joy these small things could bring
A dark night, full of stars
Where you can see Jupiter, Venus, or Mars

The smallest things can ruin your day
It could be something that got in your way
A rude word that crossed your path
Or finding out the full force of somebody's wrath

The smallest things could screw up a week
It could be one , or one smoke--filling up your cheek
These things could do more, than be happy for a while
With these you'd have mistakes, you'd have to erase for a mile

The smallest things could cost you forever
Choose the right ones for now and ever.
