To be loved

Contributed by lil_angel on Tuesday, 19th November 2002 @ 03:20:00 AM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

I long to be held
To hear the heartbeat of a lover
To have someone embrace me
To feel the sweet lips against my own
But that I will never feel
For I am not beautiful enough to be held
Never to be close enough to hear a heartbeat
Never taste the sweet taste of love
I never wanted a boyfriend
Until now
I don’t want to be alone
Want more then just a brother
I want to be loved
I want to love
I want a boyfriend

Ok, first this doesn't sound like a poem, more like a request from god.

Second, if this is how you really feel......... be careful, once you do find someone you're gonna want to make that person your life, your everything, and you are probably gonna build your world around them and that is dangerous, cause if/when that person leaves, where does that leave you? In what shape does that leave your world? You should never be dependent on anyone, but yourself.

This is so sad but for many so true. The thing is you shouldn't just want someone to love you but love you for the right reasons. Just because you don't think you are beautiful doesn't mean someone out there doesn't. you have the heart of a poet and therefore are a beautiful person with a beautiful soul and someday someone with a poets heart and soul will find you so quit looking. i did and now I'm married to a great man.

i used to feel very similar. i was always down and never believed that anyone would ever love me. but i got over it and just trusted in God. i believe that he has a plan for me, and he's already shown me part of his plan. i have someone in my life now who does love me in a way, and it makes me feel very special. just hoping it will develop into something more than friendship, cuz i don't wanna lose this. good poem, by the way! :) Helmut :+>

I too used to feel like this. One day the right person will be there for you.
