Little Face

Topic: FamilyPoems

little face come here sit with me a while
lets talk but only so i can stare at you in wonder
and watch your tiny lips move
show me your latest drawing of the dog with three legs
but only so i can embrace your sweet interpretations
let me carry you i scoop you up high into the air
and as you giggle the finest laugh my ears have ever heard
i hold you because one day you might be too big to hold
when you need it the most

share with me all your dreams and thoughts so i might peek into your world
its such a wonderful place to be thats passed for me
yet you can bring it all back with your sparkling eyes
wipe away those crystal tears
about lolly pops and wanting hers
you have no idea how special you are
how every step is a million smiles inside my heart
tucked up in bed fast asleep with the angels
toys all over the place my little face

no words are enough for my interpretations of you
how i thank god for what i have what a gift
my son-shine boy my pride my joy
memories dont come richer than you
nothing else in my whole life could ever do.
