All I Ever Wanted

I've struggled in blackness for time span unmentionable in days
One foot on the ground,
the other dangled wild outside the lines of the haze.
I always remember the encumbrances:
Traversing lonely without you as the sun,
And thoughtful visions of minutes when we were both undone;
I paid for each moment with my tears.
I have fought for something not so easily won.
A piece of your heart. It was all I ever wanted.
I've gathered the sentiments from within my frame.
I stored them safely, gave each a name.
Until I realized there was no point in saving
time better spent in the way of giving...
Within the feelings we created
I behaved delirious, my mind sedated.
And when came to, I poured it all out.
I have fought for something worth writing about.
A piece of your heart. The one thing I can't live without.
I've experienced oblivion with only my trust:
my Master when I was choked by lust,
and soaked in those unmentionable days
I lingered in the puddles you made.
I am built beyond my former self,
proven softly by you and nobody else...
I am small but I have fought and won.
A part of your heart...It was all I ever wanted.
