As I Slit My Wrists

Contributed by pixie on Wednesday, 3rd November 2004 @ 08:21:17 AM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Watch me as I slit my wrists,
Can you see my whole mind twist?
Do you like my reaction as I see the blood?
But to you any kind of self harm does no good.

Why can’t you just leave as the blood spills?
Let me get my release from being so ill,
You love me then please met me die,
I am so sorry that in the past I made you cry.

I would be doing everyone a favour,
No more do I need you as my saviour,
I have gone as far as I can possibly go,
My pain will continue as long as the wind blows.

I don’t see the wind stopping any time soon,
& I am sick of listening to this tormenting tune,
My ears bleed, my heart has shattered,
I am losing all that ever mattered.

Everything thing in my life is such a mess,
I am so very weak I must confess,
Just can’t fight to see another day,
Please someone carry my soul away.

Well...if thee must,
Thee must...only pray
do it quietly...

Lest other cowards
follow suit, and pursue
You down that craven path

For it is written that
Those who self-destruct,
Shall be consigned

To the fiery domain;
There to endure
everlasting pain

...unto eternity...

So calm I know that feeling, cutting and bleeding because it makes it all more real with reason and passion which makes it all go away or feel okay. I like the poem, a lot, and hope it is just an emotional vent. Tiffany J. (Red_October)

"WELL DONE" You have painted a picture I see everyday. Your words are so true for so many of us that cut or do self-harm in some way. Keep writing, It helps take some of the pain away.
