Dying Nation

Contributed by essentially9 on Tuesday, 2nd November 2004 @ 10:10:22 PM in AEST
Topic: political

Dying Nation

I watch the nation die
As the sheets of paper
Cast the fate of life
Over what really matters
One state at a time

If you stand for nothing
You'll fall for anything
This nation is split
Between truth and lies
Neither one is right
And we fall divided
By our own choice
To play God with life

The red in the sea
Ruins what could be
The stupidity of falling
Divided and for nothing
But for what you wanted

Damn everyone else
For ever living
And wanting better

I think these lines sum this up very well. Good write and I am very happy someone whose eyes are not wide shut took the trouble to say something. You are certainly essential now. Thank you.

There's power and conviction in your words. Sometimes we care so much it is very frustrating, Your caring comes through.

Powerful write
