All In Your Eyes

Contributed by liquidsunshine on Tuesday, 2nd November 2004 @ 09:25:26 PM in AEST
Topic: oops

I loved you and then I looked into your eyes
Devoured their secrets
Unleashed their strongest most delicate passions
I looked
I smiled
I opened my heart
Or perhaps you did that
I’m not sure

What I found is amazing
Breathtaking
Heart-stilling
It fuels my adrenaline still

First I found hope
Then truth
Then trust
Faith
Devotion
Love

Home- I found home
in your eyes as well as your arms

And then I saw it

Shimmering
Shining
Sparkling
Radiating
Basking in the glow

…Forever

I can see forever in your eyes

I can see forever sparkling, shimmering and I’m home and in love, devoted and faithful, trusting the truth with all the hope I can muster

Be still my heart, take my breath away, I’m wandering in amazement

You’ve opened my heart, made me smile, made me see, made me unleash a strong and fragile passion that was kept secret ‘ere I loved you enough to look into your eyes

Oh, Chelsea, why thank you! I didn't know my eyes held that much power over you! Hahahaha! Beautifully done. I love the parallel structure, the repetition, they rhythym, the structure of the stanzas. Each had an impacting effect on the overall beauty of the magnificent poem. Amazing, and the original would be quite enjoyable to read, I'm sure. (PM it to me). Yes, but not only that, I also thought it was an interesting, yet more true, less infatuated description of love (than society seems to hold today). Breath taking is the right word for this piece of art. It also shows a state of maturity. Lovely, Chelsea, lovely. Absolutely glorious.

It's an incredible experience---like watching a flower open in fast forward. Tender hearts are so fragile. May yours be handled with care.
