Love Makes You Do Stupid Things

Contributed by crazylady on Tuesday, 2nd November 2004 @ 08:23:11 PM in AEST
Topic: Suicide

Tears splash on the floor.
Blood slowly drips from an arm.
Like a candle life burns out
When you expect it to last forever
Choice words were said.
Words that led to dark thoughts.
Dark thoughts that led to deadly actions.
Why couldn’t you have been different?
Why can’t you see behind my silence?
There was sadness.
There was hate.
Towards you
And towards me.
Look what you made me do.
Look at what you put me through.
Now you see the real me
And not that smiley dumb blonde.
That isn’t who I am.
But now it’s too late for you to figure that out.
Now my life is over.
And you’ll never know what was under
This cut and torn flesh.
Under it all was a heart.
A heart that beat only for you.
But you broke my heart.
And I have no reason to live.
So I’ll finish your job.
Because love makes you do stupid things.

i wrote this poem for a guy @ my school. id had a crush on him forever and he constantly made fun of me because i never talked to anyone and i didnt have any friends. you know it hurts bad enough to be made fun of but when its from someone youve had a crush on for the past three years.....it hurts a lot more. it made me suicidal and so i wrote to keep myself occupied. it helped a lot. thank u for ur comments on my poem(my teacher didnt like it but oh well!) lol!

I know the feeling--good write of a terrible experience. A lost love is the depth of hell.
