I Need Another Angel

Contributed by ginsdance on Monday, 18th November 2002 @ 05:30:00 PM in AEST
Topic: LostLove

Tonight I miss your touch,
The way you treated me,
The way you saw me as royalty
When no one else could see
That there was something else to me
Besides the bruises and the pain,
And now that they want me to return to that,
I can't, it's not the same.
I want someone to hold open the doors,
And show me chivalry isn't dead,
I need someone to wipe my tears,
And not try to get me in bed,
I need someone to laugh with me,
And to just be my friend,
I need someone to hold me close,
To love me to the end.
Is it really to much to ask
For someone to just pay attention
To the simple little things
That my heart always longs to mention?
Is it too much to ask that someone listen to me
To see what's in my heart,
I just want someone to love me for me,
Someone to light my way through the dark.
I need someone like you used to be,
When you carried me to bed,
Not to do anything untoward,
But to tuck me in, instead.
And I need someone, like you,
Who didn't need me to pretend,
I just wish that you'd come back...
And then maybe my heart would mend.
Or maybe God will pity me
And send another angel down to earth,
To show me that I am special...
And give me the treatment that I deserve.

Don't worry , the angel is waiting for you (and it's not me) I talked to a mutual friend, and I can tell you, your angel is closer than you think

With or without an angel, you're special. You don't need someone else to make this true, just do the right thing and always be you.
