Reveries of Love...

Contributed by FleurdeSang on Monday, 1st November 2004 @ 03:50:06 PM in AEST
Topic: LovePoetry

Eyes meet,
Linger, pry, reveal...
The secret is unveiled,
And there lies our love,
Naked, pure...
Lost in satin sheets,
Your sweet scent still lingering,
Your warmth still present here next to me,
Your infinite kiss still burning on my lips...
But your body is not here in my arms...
Fleeing again to the duties that you must meet,
Leaving me once more in the merciless presence of Sorrow...
Death seeming more sweeter than life without you...
However, you always return,
Out of breath, weary, dragging,
But with a warm smile and a satisfying kiss...
In the dead of the night,
You whisper words of such beauty,
Expressions dripping with heartfelt adoration...
Divine poet, masterful artist of love so precious,
Dwell in this black heart,
Rekindle past fires,
Bring me back to life...
Evoking tears with only a smile,
Memory and desire sleeping in your eyes...
Caress me with your feather fingertips,
Speak to me of love so divine...
Drown me in your kisses,
Spread my wings so I can fly with you...
Soaring high,
Angelic voices intertwining,
Our song touching the hearts of many...
Dance across my dreams,
Inhabit my thoughts,
So I can be lost in bittersweet Reverie forevermore...
Rest in my arms,
Sleep in my soul,
Stay with me for all eternity...
Moments by moonlight,
Everlasting visions of the heart...

With words such as these, feelings expressed to perfection ... how could he possibly stay away ? He will return, how could he not ? Held entranced by these words, I have read, re-read, and then read yet again ... I would succumb to moments of moonlight ...

Beautifully tender, and passionate at the same time, written in a melidous rythem, with sensual undertones, awesome composure and really steamy, cool poem.
