In Search For I

Contributed by bobotheclown on Sunday, 31st October 2004 @ 11:34:08 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

Branded by misery's kiss
Held my hand out for help
Only to have my face stomped into the ground
The sun does not shine here anymore
Immobilized by depression's sting
Whispered encouragement to myself
Only to fall on the deafened ears of this tragic mistake

The rain turns into snow,
But the crimson tinge
Is always unmistakeable

I won't buy into the hypocrisy you sell
Or the fake potions that held me down previously
Lied to myself for so long
Realized by the scars that I am forced to live with,
But I'd rather them than the poisoned kisses
That bleed [free] from your diseased mouth
Still forced to reason with the voices in my head

The rain turns into snow,
But the crimson tinge
Is always unmistakeable

Beat my will that I've fostered so carefully
And exploit my fear
That I've sought to hide from view,
But I'll never bow to your will
I'm no longer a child
And I can see through your thin lies

I'll never bleed alone again
And when I cry these tears
I'll go to the one who lived for thirty-three years
The choice is unmistakeable

Dude this was so vivid and painful, sadness leaked from each word, into a flood of hurts, visual images, blindingly real, written and composed beautifully, loved this poem it rocked.

Unmistakable BoBo poetry. You write of the darkness as well or better than anyone I know my friend. If this isnt your finest write then its damn close to it. The reference to He who lived for 33 years though, is the part that brough a huge smile to my face and a warm feeling to my heart.

The words are just sticking in the back of my thoat. not sure how to respond. I loved the anger and heavy word choice in here, there are just soooo many lines that I want to take from this piece or highlight but they all are just soo wonderful. This piece as a whole was spectacular.

Kisses,
~Soulless~
