why couldnt u stay

Topic: SadPoetry

Looking back,i could of done things to make you stay..
Never knowing that one day you would be swept away,
Took my time with you for granted, not knowing what was coming my way..
Never knew that you would kill yourself that misty day,
My life became nothing after u went,it all became charcoal grey....
Felt nothing but hurt, and a load of betray...
Why did you leave me here daddy?? why couldnt you stay??

since i can only type with one hand i cant say all i want to, but here it goes. nothing you could have done could have kept your dad here. people hate life for more than one reason. my dad left me at the age of two, i think he is still alive, but i dont know. so our situations are completely different, but i think i can say this. family is a part of you that influences and guides, is there for you, but they are not all of you. you can not let the past hold you back, you can honor it, remember it, and learn from it. but you can never get what was lost back, but you can gain something else, a future. im sorry that you had to go through the loss of a parent like that, but do not let it make you lose everything. your dad would never want that to happen to you...

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
