Why is it that ... ?

Contributed by THORN on Sunday, 31st October 2004 @ 07:04:31 AM in AEST
Topic: selfstruggles

Why is it that,
When you help,
Nobody thanks,
When you thank,
Nobody welcomes,
When you write,
Nobody reads,
When you read,
Nobody listens,
When you try,
Nobody encourages,
When you smile,
Nobody smiles,
When you care,
Nobody gives,
When you die,
Nobody cares.

Why?

Thought provoking questions. And so very sadly true. Wonderful piece.

Whoa, I wasn't expecting it to be that good! heh -_-;;
Actually, to be honest, I felt that way.. shut out.. Poetry is good when it comes purely from the heart, it's about the poet's emotions to words, a language only other poets would understand..

It's simplicity is what I like about it, I took out a lot of things, got too personal lol.
But life gets better or worse, depending on what you make it.

Again, thanks for commenting etc =)
Btw, I'm not that prickly lol life has its thorns ;)

Cheers,
-XRaye
