You were always there when I needed you,
And you never thought about it twice.
You were never selfish,
And you were always there when I cried.
You always made me feel better,
And when something was wrong with me…
You asked why, and what was bothering me.
You cared how I felt,
And you cared what I thought.
If I ever needed you,
You were right there on the spot.
Whatever in your power you could do to make me feel better,
was always considered done.
I want to thank you for this-
To show you my appreciation.
You’ve been a true friend to me
Through good times and bad
For 7 years passed, and many more to come,
Through times that were happy, and some that were sad.
We’ve been through a lot together,
And we have much more to come…
I love you like a sister Rene’,
And I consider you an angel, sent from above.

i enjoyed this poem, i wish i had a friend that cared about me that much, great job, i dont like any rhyming in poems, so.. it gets a 3, solid effort ;)
